Introduction
Welcome to Noxen ("we," "our," "us," or "the App"), formerly called Driema. Noxen is a personal dream journal developed by Alperen Terzi, an individual based in Turkey, and available on the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, where it goes, and the choices you have.
Noxen is built to keep your journal on your device. Data leaves your device only in the specific cases described below.
1. Information Stored on Your Device
The following is stored only on your device and is never sent to us:
- Dream entries: text, titles, dates, moods, tags and AI interpretations you have received
- Drafts: a dream you are still writing, saved automatically so it is not lost
- Settings: your name if you enter one, interpretation lens, tradition, birth date for the astrological lens, reminder time and other preferences
Face ID / passcode lock: if you turn on the app lock, iOS checks your face, fingerprint or passcode. Noxen only learns whether the check succeeded; it never receives biometric data.
Morning reminder: reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No server is involved.
2. Information That Leaves Your Device
2.1 AI dream interpretation (only with your permission)
Before your first interpretation, the App asks for your permission. If you allow it, then each time you tap Interpret on a dream, Noxen sends that one dream's:
- text,
- mood (if selected) and tags,
- chosen interpretation lens and, if relevant, religious tradition or birth date
to our server, which runs on Supabase in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). The server forwards it to an AI provider to write the interpretation: Anthropic (Claude), or OpenAI when Claude is unavailable. We do not send your name, email or a device identifier with the request.
Our server does not store your dream. Anthropic and OpenAI process it under their API terms; by default neither uses data sent through its API to train its models, and each may keep it for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring.
You can withdraw permission at any time in Settings › Send dreams for AI interpretation. After that, no dream leaves your device until you allow it again.
2.2 Daily horoscope
If you use the astrological lens, the daily horoscope request sends only your zodiac sign and your device language to our server, which uses the same AI providers. No dream content is included.
2.3 Daily verse
If you use the religious lens, the daily verse is fetched from public scripture services (alquran.cloud, bible-api.com, Sefaria and vedicscriptures.github.io). The request contains only the verse reference; no personal or dream data is sent.
2.4 Voice capture
When you speak a dream, Noxen uses Apple's Speech Recognition to turn it into text. Depending on your device and language, Apple may process the audio on the device or on Apple's servers under Apple's Privacy Policy. Noxen does not record or store audio; only the resulting text is saved in your journal.
2.5 Anonymous analytics
Noxen uses TelemetryDeck to count anonymous app events, such as a dream being saved, an interpretation being requested, or the subscription screen being shown. These events contain no dream text and are not linked to your identity. TelemetryDeck's privacy policy: https://telemetrydeck.com/privacy/
2.6 Subscriptions
Noxen Plus is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes payments; we never receive your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
3. How We Use Information
- To run the journal: record, search, edit and export your dreams on your device
- To write interpretations and horoscopes: only when you ask, as described in section 2
- To improve the App: with anonymous event counts that contain no personal data
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps and websites.

5. Data Storage and Security
Your journal is stored on your device and protected by iOS security features, including device encryption and app sandboxing. You can add the optional Face ID or passcode lock in Settings. Noxen does not sync your journal to any cloud service. Requests to our server are sent over encrypted HTTPS connections.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and portability: export all your dreams as PDF or JSON from Settings › Your Data
- Correction: edit any dream at any time
- Deletion: delete dreams individually, or delete the App to remove all data from your device
- Withdraw consent: turn off Settings › Send dreams for AI interpretation
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Turkey, you may also have rights under the GDPR or KVKK. Since we do not keep your dreams on our server, most requests can be fulfilled directly in the App; for anything else, contact us below.
7. Data Retention
Your dreams stay on your device until you delete them or the App. Our server keeps no copy of interpretation requests; it keeps only basic technical logs (such as the time and result of a request) for a short period to keep the service running. AI providers' retention is described in section 2.1.
8. Children's Privacy
Noxen is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take steps to delete it.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will show the new "Last Updated" date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will let you know in the App. Continued use of Noxen after a change means you accept the updated policy.
