Welcome to Driema ("we," "our," "us," or "the App"). Driema is a personal dream journal application developed by Alperen Terzi, an individual based in Turkey. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use Driema, available on the Apple App Store.

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
Driema is designed to be privacy-first. The following information is stored only on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and is never transmitted to our servers:
- Dream Entries: Titles, descriptions, dates, moods, and tags you add to your dream journal
- Personal Notes: Any private thoughts or reflections you record
- App Preferences: Settings, customizations, and display preferences
1.2 Information Sent to Third-Party Services (Premium Features Only)
When you use the AI Dream Interpretation feature (available with Driema Plus subscription), we send the following data to OpenAI's API:
- The text content of your dream entry
- Mood indicator (if selected)
- Tags associated with the dream
We do not send any personally identifiable information (such as your name, email, or device ID) to OpenAI. The data sent is anonymous and used solely for generating an AI-powered interpretation.
1.3 Subscription and Purchase Information
Subscription management is handled through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat (our subscription service provider). We do not collect or store payment information directly.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Provide core functionality: Allow you to record, search, and manage your dream entries
- Provide AI interpretations: Generate AI-powered dream interpretations when requested (Premium only)
- Manage subscriptions: Process subscription purchases and renewals via Apple and RevenueCat
- Improve the App: Analyze anonymized usage patterns (no personal data) to improve features
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Local Storage
All your dream entries and personal data are stored exclusively on your device using Apple's secure SwiftData framework. We have no access to this data.
3.2 No Cloud Sync
Driema does not currently sync your data to the cloud. Your dreams remain on your device only.
3.3 Security Measures
We rely on Apple's iOS security features to protect your data, including:
- Device encryption
- App sandboxing
- Secure data persistence

Driema uses the following third-party services:
4.1 OpenAI (AI Dream Interpretation)

5. Your Rights (GDPR & General)
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: All your data is on your device—you have full access at any time
- Deletion: Delete dreams individually within the app, or delete the entire app to remove all data
- Portability: Future versions will support data export (PDF, JSON)
- Correction: Edit any dream entry at any time within the app
6. Data Retention
Your dream entries are retained on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. AI interpretation requests are not retained by us; OpenAI's retention policy applies (typically 30 days for abuse monitoring).
7. Children's Privacy
Driema is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of Driema after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
